White spot on Garmin Forerunner 245

I bought my Forerunner 245 (no music) in May of this year and have been really happy with the product. However, a big white spot appeared recently and it has not gone away after about 5 days. The spot is even there when the watch is turned off. Is there anything I can do about this?

    Yup, same thing happened to me last month (same screen location too). Got the watch replaced directly from Garmin. They were helpful and pretty quick.

    Me too with my Vivoactive 3 music 

    Spent 15 mins on hold to Garmin Germany not happy at all.

    Same here with my brand new Forerunner 245 Music, although the spot is in a different place. It has roughly the same size.

    Very disappointed. And Garmin's support will not pick up the phone until the end of the year.

    I'm from Viet Nam, how to get support from here? my watch is having same issue

  • After less than a year and a half of use mine developed the same problem.  I guess i'm outside of warranty though so its $99 to fix it.  That may not seem too bad, but, for a $600+ watch to only last 1.5 years that's pretty crappy. I'll just use it until it completely dies than move on.  Mine has been like this for a while now, so if anyone else has this happen don't wait to contact Garmin.

  • Contact support anyway. Even though the warranty has expired you are still within the reasonable use expectation

  • I did before I posted that.  They told me it was $99 to fix it. Considering the short time it lasted I didn't want to put any more money into it.

    very annoying. I hope garmin will replace my watch. Waiting good news from garmin support

    The situation went worse. Now there is a second point on my screen and the white circle is getting bigger and bigger. Very disappointing.

  • Same here. What is really annoying is not only that it appeared a few months after buy, but the support is so bad.

    11. December 2019 into service in Singapore and I still did not get a repaired or swap device and it's already 9. February 2020.

    Very disappointing. My first and last Garmin.
