wifi error 0200 FR245M. Cannot download spotify playlists

I can connect to wifi network, however i cannot download any song on spotify. I used three different WIFI networks, re installed spotify, on/off FR 245M, change/ updated the password, nothing works. I can listen to music downloaded via garmin express, but no spotify at all... any solution?

  • I'm late on the conversation. For those still having trouble: try using your cellphone hotspot network.

    Picked up my device today.  After initial setup and phone pairing with Garmin Connect I got the mentioned error 0200 by trying to sync Spotify.

    Updating the Device didn't change anything.

    Next step I tried sync with Garmin Express on PC. Got yet another update, and the error code 0200 changed. Now I got the same error but it says "Certificate Error"

    Almost without hope I tried yet another thing: 

    Manually adding my mobile phone wifi hotspot network to the Watch

    (Temporarily change the password to something easy to type as typing with three buttons is kinda slow)

    Now it finally works!

  • I had a three month email exchange with Garmin providing detailed information about the issue.  At the end they told me they were escalating it.  I assume that any solution will be via an update rather than an individual fix.  During the exchange, they suggested the following both of which did work for me but are not really a perfect solution:

    - Remove the security from the Wi-Fi connection (obviously not recommended as a permanent change)

    - Use personal hotspot on a smartphone
