wifi error 0200 FR245M. Cannot download spotify playlists

I can connect to wifi network, however i cannot download any song on spotify. I used three different WIFI networks, re installed spotify, on/off FR 245M, change/ updated the password, nothing works. I can listen to music downloaded via garmin express, but no spotify at all... any solution?

I purchased my FR 245M a couple days ago and am facing the same issue - the watch keeps looking for a WiFi signal when I try to download a playlist/song from Spotify. After a minute or so after I try the download I either get a 0700 or 0200 error, sometimes if I am lucky I would get the 0800 error too.

Currently running on version 4.40 and unfortunately I cannot jump onto the latest beta (APAC model).

I have tried a hard-reset, hotspot connect, the rest and still no luck, has anyone found a concrete solution for this issue? It boggles my mind that it has been several months since this issue has been reported and there is still no solution.

I just got a new forerunner 245M and had the same issue. I had some port triggering set up on my router for my daughter's xbox. I removed those and then it was able to sync just fine.

I don't know if you all got it working, but I got it working when I changed the Transmission Mode to 802.11g in the admin settings for WiFi in the router. Try it, it might work for you!

  • Hi all

Also have a new FR245M.  The watch (via Garmin Connect) can see my Wi-Fi network and accepts the password (ie. it is listed under "Saved Networks" on Garmin Connect).  But then when I try to download from Spotify, or when I click "Test Network Connection" in Garmin Connect, it thinks about it for a while and then says "No Internet Connection" (on the watch) and "Could Not Connect to "[Wi-Fi name]"" (on Garmin Connect).

Wi-Fi works with all other devices.  I have the latest 245M software (5.20).

Any tips much appreciated from anyone who has resolved this!

Hi, I had same issue when I switched to UK Vodafone broadband, something in the vodafone router would not play with the 245m.

    • Try connecting via your phone, or other people's WiFi. Appreciate not that easy at the moment.

I ended up using an alternate old router I had, which fixed the problem(billion router).

I had the same issue but i fixed it. Delete the network you have connected. turn on personal hotspot on your phone and connect the watch to your phone WiFi. Then try to add playlists. That worked for me:)

  • This is the same problem I have. Did you find a solution?
