245 screen and gps issues

So when I initially received my 245 (non music). I was pretty happy with the watch. Didn’t expect a tank for the price I paid so I knew I needed to take care of the watch. Fast forward to today. I’ve been sick for the last month so I’ve only run 6 times with the watch. I pretty much baby the thing. This AM I look down to see the time and what do I see? I giant white circle in my screen. Not a dead pixel or 2. And to top things off my gps tracing has gotten worse over time. In the beginning it was great now...not so much. I’ll include a picture of the screen for reference. Has anybody else had an issue similar to this? Pretty disappointed so far, def was expecting more coming over from Suunto. Anyways here’s the pic...

  • I have the same issue with mine

  • The same here, I live in Argentina. Exact same watch, exact same problem.

  • And Garmin didnt help me. They want me to send the device via DHL to they office at USA. They don't work with POBOX so they asked me an address from USA. With the cost of the shipment with DHL i bought and Apple Watch Slight smile.  Problem ended. Really bad support from Garmin.

  • If the watch is on the warranty you don't pay the shipment to USA . They send you a link with all the details for shipping the watch without costs

  • This is worse than a slight drop.  Good idea to have a screen protector for trail activities.  Sorry

  • We have this issue with the Forerunner 245 Music.  I bought it on Amazon.  I was able to call Garmin who then sent me an email asking me to reply with a photo of the defect.  Now waiting for a reply.  Good support so far.  Will let you know how it goes.

  • Paid address label received and sending back via UPS.  So far so good.  It looks like the replacement will be refurbished though.  I'll update when replacement is received.

  • Just wanted to let everyone know Garmin still has a problem with the 245 series. I purchased this watch last June 2021 and have had results with this item but I started noticing a small dot at the 10 o’clock section of the screen. I contacted Garmin and started the process for a replacement or repair. I shipped it by there instructions and watched for delivery at there repair
facility. I received an email stating that they have received it but I have been waiting for over a week for a shipping confirmation as to when I might receive it.This is early spring and I am training for several upcoming races and need my watch for training.Hopefully I will have a replacement before my next race in few weeks.
