Lap button triggering by itself

All of a sudden in my last three runs, a lap has triggered without my touching the watch. On all these runs I was following a Gamrin Training plan scheduled workout. I would rather not disable the button as I like having the option of finishing cetain training sections earlier or later. At first I thought I must have hit it accidentally but yesterday my hands weren't anywhere near the watch and the issue happenned again

Has anyone else had this problem? any idea of what is happenning?

I've been emailing back and forth with Garmin Support. It has happened on every interval workout I've tried so far.

I have yet to receive confirmation on whether Garmin can reproduce the issue or have confirmed a bug.

Here is the answer I got from Garmin support:

I have looked into your account and am seeing laps on some days at exactly 1 mile. Which indicates Auto Lap being enabled on the watch. Please disable it: Menu>Run Settings>Auto Lap.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I don't know what to do. My youngest sister could have made the same answer (and of course I don't have autolap enabled).

They said they'd 'open a case' and pass along a copy of the Garmin folder from my watch to their engineering team. Hopefully they can identify the issue soon.

I was reading the FR945 thread, they had the same issue and there is already a fix in a new beta version firmware... I would guess that FR245 and FR945 share good amount of the code base and hopefully merge the fix to FR245 as well.

Maybe is good to point to the support people that there is already a fix on FR945 so they can speed up this...

Another theory I've been working on is that the skipped laps/intervals only happen (or are more likely to happen) when Spotify is playing music. I've started running interval workouts without music playing and my workout this morning had no skipped laps for the first time in 3 weeks.

I also let Garmin Support know about the 945 lapping fix in firmware 2.64

There is a beta already in which they have included "Fixed lapping issues in adaptive training plans and workouts", it would be great if someone of you that you reproduce this issue more often to try this beta:

I'll try it tomorrow. I've had two successful workouts without music playing though. Every other workout (probably with music playing) skipped intervals.
