Button click quality very bad

From the time I bought my 245 replacing the 235, I noticed that the buttons are very hard to press, produce a very strong "click" sound, they seem to have two levels of pressing, and also the pressing is inconsistent: sometimes it is clicky, sometimes not. In comparison to my old 235, they feel very bad and the quality seems worse. Maybe it has to do with the mechanism for the water ressistance, but still, the feeling is very bad: the watch feels cheap because of that.

Did you notice the same in your device?

  • I was thinking about buying one. Probably not anymore after reading this thread. Are the new batches better?

  • This happened to me. I exchanged it for s new one and after just one week, I have the same problem,

    Same thing here... first day and this inconsistency its driving me crazy! It's a USD 300 device, not a cheap design from China! Please Garmin fix this!!!

    You push the left buttons and feels like it worked, but nothing happens... to work you need to push harder and feel a second click.

    It's a 300/350 Dollar device, not a cheap design from China... and for god sake it's a button mechanism not a Space X rocket!

    Garmin we need a fix for this!

    Mine is the same, the left 3 buttons have a terrible double click feel (like weird double push buttons) and takes several tries for the button to work.

    a 3 hundred dollar device... my first Garmin watch and i'm disappointed!

  • I bought mine 2 days ago. No button problem. They work just fine.

  • LOL, like two days you are going to discover everything good or bad. Comment when you have it longer.

    Why should he/she wait? On the three 245 Music watches that we have had, we noticed the bad button experiences, forgive me for lack of better expression, within minutes of first use. There are probably some cases where start later. When I reported to Garmin I did it directly. Are there any forum rules of that you are not allowed to report issues or lack of issues directly that I have missed?

    I have had it since they were released. The buttons stick all the time. Does that carry more merit for you?
