I got my FR245 three weeks ago; I bought it because of that sleep tracker, body battery and stress viewer (?). It showed all these data brilliantly, but after two weeks all I can see on Garmin Connect is "no data" and "wear your Garmin device while sleeping to receive data", etc. I can see some data, like pulse ox and stress, but on watch only (not on Garmin Connect).
I have no idea what to do; I see you all wrote comments like mine over a year ago, which I find strange- why are no bug fixes that would solve that kind of problem? I really do not want to enter data manually; I am only a student and I think this watch is too expensive for doing that.
If anyone has figured out the solution, please, I will be more than thankful
the problem is that there isn't enough hard drive space on the watch. you need to clear some storage space and you should be good.
first, try deleting all activities. if you only got the watch 3 weeks ago though it's not going to help.
second, i found that the watch stores some files which can be deleted. plug the watch into your pc with the charging plug. then, look at the device in windows explorer. it has a tiny hard drive like 20mb. right click on each of the sub folders under 'garmin' and hit 'properties' to see how much hard drive space each on of those folders is using. i found that the subfolder 'sleep' had loads of .FIT files in it - one for each day if i remember correctly. it took up like 17mb of the 20mb on the watch and jammed it all up. delete all those .FIT files except the most recent one.
you should be good after that and i haven't had to do that again. i have run into the problem since but it was due to too many activities logged and that can be fixed by going back to step one i suggested above.
good luck
I would be careful with manually deleting files from the watch if you don't know what you're doing. I have had my FR245 now for about a year and never had to manually delete data in order for the watch to save. It should automatically delete old data if it runs out of storage.
But I think regular synchronisation with the Garmin Connect app on your phone is required to achieve that.
Did you resolve the problem with your watch? I'm having the same issue. Mine worked fine for about two weeks after I purchased it and then HR started to "fail". The green light turned on and off randomly. Without HR, the watch cannot calculate Body Charge, Sleep tracking and Training functions.
I agree with you, this watch it's too expensive, and I'm starting to regret the money I spent on it.
