Since the last update, the watch has become unusable: no longer sleep tracking, steps are no longer counted and the heart rate is completely inconsistent
We are rolling out SW v27.10 for the Forerunner 165 series, which addresses the data dropout issues described in this thread. You can manually download this software update by selecting Menu > System >…
I also have issues in both outdoor run activities where gps is all over, no step tracking, heart rate off. FR165 27.09. Problems came as soon as updated.
When i start a run, the start is delayed and when…
And this is exactly why Garmin ought to support firmware downgrades.
Even if it requires a convoluted hands-on method, at least give us the option of being able to get back to a functioning watch again…
I’m seeing similar issues. Forerunner 165 on v27.09 and I’ve gone through all the usual steps: Garmin Express update/sync, restarts, and full factory resets.
Heart rate data is still all over…
Indeed, 2 weeks+. There must be something going on at Garmin. No communication at all about the issues. Last week I contacted the servicedesk. I did the steps they told me and nothing helped. Now I have been issued a replacement. I prefered a direct replacement and paid an installment. So I would not get without a watch. Only.... We are almost one week further and I have still no replacement. It isn't even ready for shipment. Absolutely a disgrace.
I also experience since the 27.09 update a lot of difficulties with my Garmin forerunner 165 music.
During running my heart rate stays at 70-75 and the watch reacts really slow on starting, pausing and ending an activity.
Also my steps are inaccurate just as tracking my sleep. The same issues what everyone else is reporting.
I’m in a marathon trainingsblock and this really bothers me.
Hey, thanks for this. I tried the way you proposed with the linked firmware but my watch did not install the update after unplugging. Do you have an idea why? Can I use any empty file called force.tmp? I used a simple text file and think that this could be the issue. Thanks!
