Since the last update, the watch has become unusable: no longer sleep tracking, steps are no longer counted and the heart rate is completely inconsistent
We are rolling out SW v27.10 for the Forerunner 165 series, which addresses the data dropout issues described in this thread. You can manually download this software update by selecting Menu > System >…
I also have issues in both outdoor run activities where gps is all over, no step tracking, heart rate off. FR165 27.09. Problems came as soon as updated.
When i start a run, the start is delayed and when…
And this is exactly why Garmin ought to support firmware downgrades.
Even if it requires a convoluted hands-on method, at least give us the option of being able to get back to a functioning watch again…
I’m seeing similar issues. Forerunner 165 on v27.09 and I’ve gone through all the usual steps: Garmin Express update/sync, restarts, and full factory resets.
Heart rate data is still all over…
I'm also experiencing the same problem. Yesterday, my heart rate was dropping intermittently, from 135-140 to around 70. This only happened on my second run after the update. I didn't have any problems before the 27/09 version. Could you please check and fix this ASAP?
Hi, I also have this issue: pace, SPM, HR, and sleep are all over the place. Pausing or starting an activity is really slow (the watch freezes for a bit). Tried restarting and and updating through Garmin Express but did not fix it. I've had these issues since last weekend.
I have similar issues with my Forerunner 165. It updated to 27.09 this morning, and since then none of the sensors seem to work. It doesn't measure heart rate at all. It doesn't count steps at all. And it can't connect go GPS at all. Worked just fine before the update. I reset the watch several times but that didn't help
does someone of you know if Garmin is working on this? do you have any responses on this from Garmin? Or do they ignore it and accept that millions of FR 165 and other devices are useless from now on... In a company like this, this should not happen when you have Sw development processes...
Installed the update on my 165 Music. HR sensor still works but seems to lag in picking up increases. Glances list also seems to have a bit more lag when scrolling. Menus too. Step counting 'works' but increases more than I think it should. Not a good update, I hope they fix it soon. They should really provide a way to roll back to older firmware, and test more before releasing software.
