Multiplied display during activity on Forerunner 165 Music

I have problem with display during activity. If I start any activity, after some while the display is multiplied. It works, the activity can be saved. It occurs only during activity. I have all actual updates, I tried to turn on/turn off. I also updated it via Garmin Express. But it still happens. Please, do you have any experience with this? Thank you.

  • You took the words right out of my mouth! I am beyond furious and have been looking at different brands of watches because Garmin has been absolutely terrible to work with. If it's a software issue, then this is on Garmin and we should be getting some type of refund for their product that is not working. For customer service to be so nonchalant about it, is just wild to me! Such a disappointment!

  • I don't blame you for not trying it because after reading that, I wouldn't have tried it either!

  • Hoping like everybody else that this is a software issue that's fixed soon - but wondering why it only happens to some of us and not the entire Garmin 165 population. 

    Is there a chance this has affected a batch of watches with a specific hardware fault? 

    I bought my watch about two months ago and it never once worked properly - wondering for my peace of mind if there are others out there who have older watches that worked absolutely fine for months until 22.24 came along....??  

  • Yep, me and probably everyone that stated that 22.24 caused the issue.

It seems that the update is expected to be released sometime after mid-April. Since I have a marathon race this Saturday and can't use the watch screen properly, I'm planning to set up voice notifications and run the race that way."

  • It's been over a month now and still no update, WHAT THE *** GARMIN?? Roll back the breaking changes and then work on the problems without us users suffering, how is that so difficult? My wife and me both own FR165s and eeeevery single run it's the same problem. It's so frustrating, wtf are they doing??

    This has been fixed in our Hotfix, software version 22.26. If you are still experiencing the issue on 22.26, please begin a new thread.
