No nap detection

Since last update 20.32 my watch does not detect naps?! Was working before...

  • This is incorrect information, and frankly not doing your job by making it something the development team needs to look at. This watch is supposed to automatically detect naps, there is no need to access a FAQ on naps. Yeah my concern is no one at Garmin wants to take accountability for breaking a sold feature that is no longer a feature on these watches. There is no longer automatic nap detection on the Forerunner 165, it's been broken for several major versions now of the firmware.

Frankly, my $100 Fitbit Luxe 3 years ago did a 95% job of detecting naps then. My 165 used to detect them, but the regressions with each additional major firmware version, make me think the FirstBeat Analytics team is in shambles. You should be improving Sleep, WHR, and Nap detection...these things shouldn't be getting worse. When 50 dollar watches do a better job then yours, and your power users on forums are telling you as much, you should take it seriously. To send them to FAQ is 1st level support...Nap Detection is broken, no one seems to care since it's a released feature, not being improved or even regression tested...it's pretty clear, it doesn't matter to Garmin.

  • Yes its the same on 965

  • With the way things seem to be getting handled by Garmin in the last year, and now Connect+ which no one cares about, I worry this platform is going to die

  • , please contact Product Support directly for any concerns you are having. Thank you!
