I understand how it can be frustrating to not have this feature on the HRM 600 when it was on a different model. The feedback in this thread was sent over to our team to let them know that you would like it to be added.

A trick is to record the activity as Run and then in Garmin Connect change it to XC Ski. Then you have both cadence and ski power.
