I have recently tried to explore the use of only an HRM-Pro Plus during a football/soccer match, as you are not allowed to have a watch on during the match. How am a able to track track distance during the match and is it possible? Me and some other friends have tested some things during other trainings, but we are quite uncertain how it should work.
What I did recently was to connect my Forerunner 245 with the HRM-Pro Plus and then later it got a GPS from connecting with it being outside. Should I in the future leave it inside so that it can only connect to the HRM-Pro Plus while I'm playing the football match outdoors? I have my suspicion that it was due to the connection to a GPS that made it not work in terms of distance, but I could be wrong.
I find mixed results in the forums, so I hope anybody have the solution in hand?
