Hi, FR 965 user here, I would like to know if the SSL and other new metrics would be available and sync from HRM 600? As I read the 965 is compatible with HRM 600. Thanks in advance,

No, they are not.
You just need to follow the the footnotes
"Step speed loss is available only on select smartwatches" and will then land here:

I agree. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that these premium devices don't have the new running dynamics, particularly SSL. Garmin is price locking features. I have a Tactix 8... a premium watch…
Yeah I got the HRM 600 for Christmas and it's a brilliant heart rate monitor and I love the fact that it's rechargeable to stop me buying any more batteries like i did for the HRM Pro Plus. It's just a…
Yeah boy! I bought a hrm600, because my old hrm pro+ didn't worked well via ant+ connection with my fr955 solar. And this new feature no supported with this duo... nonsense...
I read couple of things about secure and open connections. I want to make it clear for myself. So the supported running dynamics are working just with the secure bluetooth connection? I am using it now with open ant+ connection and I see every supported RD datas. So now? How is it exactly? I want to use it with ant+ because I want to download hr datas after a triathlon race or open water swim and as I know the downloading is not working with BLE connection right?
Don't waste your money investing a new watch to have that data. My experience is that the measurements of SSL is consistently not continuous. I would have first 5 mins of that data, and then missing it for the following 10 mins, only to get it back for 1-2 mins before it disappeared again. It's not the problem of connectivity to with the HRM 600, because my Ground contact time balance was measured the whole time. Call the support, they said I was not running on a route that was flat enough - although the total elevation of my route is 18 meter.
I highly recommend people to stay away if you need to upgrade your watch to get this data.
