PC sensor turns off by itself

My instinct 3 solar can connect to gameon when I turn on the pc status in the sensor settings but as soon as I leave settings the status turns to off by itself and the watch disconnects from gameon. It also can't connect to gameon when I try to via the gaming activity, since pc is turned off in settings. I can't find a single thing about this online that's not 5 years ago. Anyone know what's going on?

No idea about this as I dont use this , but it seems to me there is no open activity as to my knowledge sensors disconnect if no activity open to save batter (well HRM do anyway)

So I looked online and found this page on the Epix manual.

So is there an app that is running on the watch as indicated in step 4?

I looked at the link but it's a more general issue. The pc sensor status being turned to on does not mean it's connected, it just means it can be connected. The gaming activity indeed needs to be open for it to actually connect. The problem is the pc sensor status automatically turns off as soon as i leave settings so when i start a new activity it can't connect. It's not even showing the pair now option described in the Epix manual, it just says "waiting for gameon and supported game".
