Tempe

I bought a Tempe, paired it to my fr965. I'm not sure how is it supposed to be used from here. In the Sensors menu it always gets disconnected after a few minutes. Do I need to go to the menu and connect it before every activity )when I want it to have the temperature recorded) or will it automatically connect every time the sensor is close during an activity?

The latter. However due to the specifics of the tempe sensor, it might take longer to connect than other ANT+ sensors.

Yeah, it works automatically. Strangely I can't see the temperature during ice skating on fr965, but that's another story.

Did you add a data screen with temperature fields (temperature, and if you like 24-hour min/max vallues)? That should just work.

That is exactly what I am trying to do (exactly how I successfully added it to the Walk activity), but strangely Garmin didn't add the temperature fields to the Ice Skating activity.

I see ! Sorry to say but that is just plain stupid! Does it record temperature at all? Can you see it in Garmin Connect when you upload an ice skating activity?

Temperature is kind of a really important factor when you are ice skating..

Yes, it does record temperature, it even records from the Tempe I bought last week. I just can't see it while on the ice.
