Issue HRM-Pro Plus with Forerunner 965

Hi,

I recently ran with the watch over a thin polyester long sleeve shirt while wearing the strap. After a short time I noticed that the watch viewed a pretty low pulse. I removed the watch from my wrist and immediately the pulse raised 40 bpm. Apparently the watch from the start viewed my pulse measured on the wrist through the shirt and shifted to the pulse measured from the strap as I removed the watch. When I started the activity I got the notice that an external pulse meter is connected, so everything seemed fine from the start.

How can I make sure that the watch really uses the pulse measured by the strap during an activity? Is it possible to control it afterwards?

  • Hello ,

You can disable the dynamic source switching with the watch's sensor settings. This will turn the optical heart sensor off once you start and activity. The breakdown is listed within this…
