HRM Pro Plus

How do I know if my recorded heart rate has come from my Epix Pro watch or if the figures have come from the HRM Plus Pro?

  • In activity statistics in GC you will see which HR source was used.

  • Hi Adam,

Thanks for your response, looking at my activity stats under heart rate I don't see any mention of the HRM and the stats I look at prior to me having the HRM are listed in the same manner so I can only assume that the HRM was not connected .

  • Maybe I was not precise.
When you open your activity on GC mobile, on firs screen, scroll down and on the bottom you will have listed your watch and HRM if was used to record HR data during that activity.

  • You can easily check if your HRM strap is used for activity by looking on HR sensor under the watch after you start the activity. If HRM strap is used, sensors on watch will be off while you will still see your HR on the watch ...

  • If you see the HR sensor LEDs off when starting an activity with external HR, depends on the type of watch and software level, for example on Fenix 7 the LEDs are also on when using a HR belt. Has to do with Garmin Pay I believe. Even if you never use Garmin Pay, the handy check for 'is my HR belt detected' is gone.

  • It is not true, as @Data wrote, Garmin Pay might force it to be on. Also new function “source switching” might keep it on.

  • Thanks for the correction!

  • Ok then, I did not know that. I'm using F6X (also using GarminPay) + HRM Pro+ and this is how I ever checked if my HR is transmitted from the HRM strap and not from the watch  ...
