Vivosmart 5 and hrm pro+ together

Hi, I have a vivosmart 5 and hrm pro+. During the day I use the vivosmart all the time but for cardio training I wear the hrm. Which of these devices will the Garmin connect app get information about the intensity of my training from?

the manual does not mention anything about such a connection

Not sure if it would work connecting the HRM-Pro+ directly to the phone. Perhaps try that as you cannot link the Vivosmart 5 to the strap.
