Step counter

Hi All,

I need your help /advice.

My illness has been progressing quite rapidly in the last half a year.

(I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis).

It is very difficult to simply walk. I attempt to walk 3 times a day but a very short distance.

Unfortunately, I need to use Rollator. Ideally, every time I go outside because I stable, fall and injure myself.

Here comes the question.

When I use Rollator, Instinct does not count my steps. I used it 3 times, always the same result.

Is there an add on gadget that would count the steps when I use Rollator?

Maybe I could fit it around my ankle or something?

It would have to be synced with my Garmin account, so the steps would be added to the rest of my daily activities detected by Instinct?

Thank you,

Arthur

  • I had it in my shorts pocket.

    Hi,

it's a pity that steps are not counted (maybe because of the walking pace). Sorry for being persistent, but according to the instructions, the RDP should be attached not to the pocket, but as in the picture.

I think you can check whether your steps are counted or not right at home. Then again, maybe your other half can first experiment with the rollator (at their own walking pace, and then at yours), and if it doesn't work for them, then I'll probably resign myself to it too. Slight smile

  • I will be honest

I am fed up with trials. It is not a precise equipment. It should not be working only if positioned exactly in one place. With all the attempts it could detect at least 10 steps.

Zero? No. It doesn't work with the Rollator, like a watch doesn't count steps if I don't swing my arms.

    So be it.

  • Te sugiero un vivosmart 4, para usar en tobillo.

I suggest a vivosmart 4, to wear on your ankle.

  • Thanks,

but my hands don't work well. Putting a watch around my ankle would be too fiddly.

    I gave up.

I don't know how much longer I will be able to walk even with the Rollator.

Today, I sent RDP back to Garmin and within a couple of days I am going to send FR255.

I reset it to factory default settings and packed, back to using my old Instinct.

  • pontelo dentro del calcetin.

    put it inside your sock

  • Would be difficult. I no longer have it.
