Hi guys, my heart rate monitor is starting to come unstuck at the beginning of the electrodes. Do you think a problem like this could generate incorrect data readings?
Do you think I should call support?
I bought the band about 13 months ago.

Do you think I should call support
Yes
It is fine. I have one that both ends are completely off the strap. They don't peel beyond electrodes. Just the cloth band part
All hrm pro plus ends will end up peeling after a year or 6 months (daily use ) we have over 20 of them in local running club. All same like your pic
It is fine.
No, it is not.
It is not meant to be this way, else it would be produced like this. And my HRM Pro also does NOT look like this, even after two years use (the inner part of the electrode was coming loose at some points and I used glue, but that is another story).
Do you think I should call support?
Yes. it is a defect and eventually Garmin will replace it. (You could still use some super glue and try to fix it).

I think that not, but as previously recommended, you can always use glue but talk/write to Garmin Support first.
Try getting a replacement on warranty from Garmin Support. Worked for us twice in Germany!
They asked us to throw away the HRM and not to return it to them, so they could save the money for return shipment and trash fees.
Even if in the email it is stated that the device will stop to work after a brief period of time, this wasn’t the case for the HRM.
At some point of delamination it will start to produce bad data because the connections will break. There will be total drop offs, wich should be handled from the newer watches with a fallback to OHR.
Thanks for sharing. I came here to review the forums as I was considering replacing my HRM Pro with a HRM Pro Plus. Why am I considering a replacement? Because this is my second HRM Pro, where this part has been torn off. This is clearly the weak point on the devices which clearly has not been improved with the Plus.
This was always the weak point of HRM belts. But in the „old days“, we were able to replace only the belt part. It was also the point of criticism since day 1 of the single piece units (I thing the HRM Swim was the first one).
If you really want, you could try to get the HRM Run pod and buy belts as much as you need. It will give you Running Dynamics, but im not sure of running power.
A separate RD pod (worn on running short at the back) gives running dynamics and running power. You can then use any HRM you want.
