HRM Pro not displaying time in heart rate zones incorrectly

Hi Folks,

During a martial arts class my HRM Pro plus is not correctly displaying my time in heart rate zones.

For example during a 2 plus hours class the top graph seems to be showing the full class but the bottom does not like I have completed a much shorter class

Using my vivoactive 5 watch to start and stop my workouts with the watch.

Does anyone know what is happening here?

Assuming after starting activity your watch is locked in locker and you do HR data download after you end your training?

Yes and synch in the heart rate monitor after the workout , don't see anywhere that specifically asks so I want to download hr data if that's what's required?

I'm not familiar with Vivoactive, now I'm using Descent, earlier had Fenix 7, and both have HR download option in activity menu.
Please check in saved activity menu, do you have HR download option.
Second, when you open this activity in Garmin Connect, do you see HRM on the list of devices used during it?
