Fenix 6 sapphire and hrm pro plus!

Hello everyone!

I own a fenix 6 sapphire and the hrm pro plus. At first it was great, there weren't any problems, then the running dynamics stopped showing and the heartrate stopped being accurate. I tried everything the manual suggests but nothing worked out so since it was still under warranty I got my strap replaced with a new one. The thing is I still have the same problems. No running dynamics, sometimes they don't appear at all, sometimes they partly appear. No power data at all and the heart rate drops all of a sudden. What else can I do? I feel like I am the problem at this point.

  • I don't have that issue with my HRM-PRO plus (But I am using a FR965). I've had some situations where it didn't connect or disconnected part way through a run.

    Maybe try the reverse polarity reset and also un-pair and re-pair with the device. There is a description of that in this post

    Does it show as connected when you start the activity?

    Also do a soft reset of the watch. Hold in Power button until it shouts down completely then restart after say 15 secs . 

    I suspect that "then the running dynamics stopped showing and the heartrate stopped being accurate" may be because it disconnects and uses the watch OHR for the HR readings.

  • I haven’t had any issues for the first six months. Yeah, it shows as connected and it appears in the recap page of the activity. I did a soft reset but nothing happened. I don’t think it uses the watch OHR because it drops to zero. 

  • Has there been a new FW on the Fenix that may be causing it? 

    I've had mine show on the activity page in connect but get disconnected part way. More difficult to see now with the newer watches as the RD are also watch generated (apart from GCT balance) .

    Hope you find a solution.

  • I don’t think so. I bought my strap in December 2022 and used it successfully until May 2022, then these problems appeared. I tried everything and Garmin replaced it but it didn’t solve the problem. I don’t know what to do. 

  • I think I will give the reverse polarity reset a try asap. 

  • I wonder how you do that on a HRM-PRO plus
