Experience wearing Garmin HRM-Pro during volleybal

Does anyone have experience with wearing a HRM-Pro during volleyball? The main concern I would like to know more about is whether it gets in the way when diving/making pancakes and whether this could break the HRM?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for a device that can both monitor my heart rate and count steps during volleyball training and matches. My Venu 2 plus watch is not suited for this purpose since I need my arms for passing the ball. Wearing it on my ankles is also not an option as I don't want to risk damaging my watch. So, I'm looking in to buying a HRM-Pro.

If you have recommendations for any other device, I could use for this purpose I would also be glad to hear about it. (Note the device needs to be able to operate standalone, as I won't be wearing a watch.)

Thanks
