Hello all,
This might be a dumb question but I am wondering if I can use the garmin HRM dual without having my watch nearby.
I own a garmin forerunner 255 and I am super happy with the watch but I do not want to use it while playing basketball because I fear that I might hurt other players or myself (or break the watch).
However, I am still interested in monitoring my heart rate while playing and practicing and thus I started looking into chest straps. Did I understand correctly that the HRM dual does not save data but can only share it in realtime to another device (my watch for example). Does this mean that the watch has to be in close distance to the chest strap? So having the watch at the sidelines of a basketball court is probably too far away isnt it?
If the above is the case, would you then recommend the hrm pro for example? Can that watch save the data of the workout and then afterwards send it to my device?
Since the hrm pro is rather expensive, can I connect third-party chest straps to my garmin watch (the garmin environment) and is that recommended?
Thanks in advance!
