Tempe Reading in Connect showing wrong units on runs

Is there some unknown way to set temperature for the external Tempe sensor. If I record a run with watch temperature reported from watch will be in Fahrenheit. But, if I use Tempe on run. All temperature show real low in Connect, App and web. It appears like Celsius temp. But, listed still as Fahrenheit in app. My main concern is if this throws off temperature acclimation and some other uses for sensor. I see no options under ANT for sensor other then renaming sensor.  Watch is Fenix 7x. Connect settings are set to Statute for in USA.

  • That's not really how it works. Temperature is always recorded in the FIT file as integer Celsius degrees for all devices regardless of whether it uses an internal thermometer or external sensor. The units may be converted for display in Garmin Connect based on user settings.

If your temperature recordings are too low then there is probably a problem with the Tempe sensor. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help then ask Garmin customer support to exchange it for you.
