Hrm-Pro Plus Quality of the elasticity of the strap

Good day. I want to ask the users who own the HRM-Pro Plus, if they have a problem with the quality of the elasticity of the strap? It happened to me many times with Hrm-pro (not Plus) that the strap slid down my body during hard training. I had to solve it by shortening the strap, but again during a new activity I felt that my chest was being squeezed. I did not notice this problem with older Hrm dual or Chinese Magene models. I found them more comfortable. Since I complained about Hrm-pro, I am thinking about Hrm-pro plus. Thank you for your answers

  • Maybe it is body shape. Do you have a V shaped torso?

I own multiple chest straps including 2X Garmin HRM-PRO, Polar H7, Polar H10, Fourth Frontier X2 and several Wahoo TickR/TickR X. Unfortunately I do not have an HRM-PRO PLUS. I assume the strap is the same as the old Pro.

I've never one had a strap slip out of position and I've only once had a strap come undone - no doubt because I didn't hook it properly. My body shape is currently more of an "O" than a "V", so the straps are nicely wedged between boobs and belly. But I've never had a problem even when I was 12kg lighter than I am now.

  • Yes, I have a V chest type.

  • Then I guess elasticity is less the problem than grip. I just bought the Polar H10 a few days ago. Good price direct from Polar. It has little sticky grips around the entire strap.

  • Yes, the Polar H10 is said to be the best when it comes to measuring heart rate and has more silicone surfaces to keep it in place. However, it does not provide running dynamics. I will probably buy the Hrm-pro plus and I will always dip it and devote myself more to the correct waist length. Of course, a shaved chest also helps with better grip.
