My HRM Pro does not update firmware.

My HRM Pro does not update firmware.
I have firmware 7.40 and have tried to update it for every new released firmware.
Today I tried to update to 8.80 but my android-Garmin Connect just tells me - "sending updates" and then the app either disrupts or continues "forever".

Please, support needed.

It took me several attempts to finally complete the update. I think it helps to make sure that your phone is kept awake with the app in the foreground and does not time out.

No other suggestion to offer except keep trying.

I don't know if you had any joy, but today I received a new HRM-PRO, supplied with firmware 8.10. I followed my own advice above and the update completed on the first attempt. It did take fully ten minutes to send the update from phone to strap, so patience is advised. I wore the strap throughout the update process.

Actually, I got it to work! A new fresh battery and then the 8.80 kicked in. :-)

Hello. I have the same problem. Stuck on 7.4 and can't update to 8.80. Tried it about 10 times with my phone and Garmin Swim 2; Nothiung will work. My battery is "medium". I'm wondering if this is battery related of if I have to update from 7.4 to 8.1 first and then 8.8.

Hi,
I think eezytiger advice of keeping the phone awake did it. I don't think you need to update earlier versions prior to 8.8.
