Speed Sensor 2 update firmware from 2.30 to 4.0

I have two Speed Sensor 2 (on road and mountain bike).

On one of them (about a month ago), the firmware was updated from version 2.30 to 4.0 (via EDGE 530).
But I still have 2.30 on the second sensor and the newer version is not offered.

Don't know where the problem might be?

    Is the second sensor also connected to the Edge? Does the Edge have a REMOTESW folder? If so have a look in there and remove any .gcd files. The reconnect to GE and see if you have the Speed Sensor 2 update to install. If so reinstall it then connect to the bike with the second sensor and see if it gets updated now.

    I'll have to check mine now as I saw the update get passed to my watch but haven't checked whether or not the sensors are updated.

    Thanks for the advice, I'll try it this weekend when I have both sensors with me and let you know.

    I have the same problem.
    Speed Sensor 2 v2.30, Edge 1040 and no update proposed.
    I checked the REMOTESW folder and it is empty.

    Just checked one of my sensors and it's still on 2.30. I did have .gcd files in my REMOTESW. Not sure what they were for (probably other sensors) but I've deleted them anyway,

    Connected to GE and now adding this to the F7 before trying to update the SS2

    and this in the REMOTESW folder afterwards:

    Went to Sensors and Accessories and connected to a SS2. Found a Software Update option so elected to install. Now updated the sensor. Not sure if this should happen automatically but the manual process has worked on one of them.
