HRM-SS Firmware update

I have a strap. On it's back I see HRM-SS. Is this the same as HRM-Dual?

These are the parameters I see in the watch:
Model: 7
Manufacturer: Garmin
SW version: 2.10


I'm connected with ANT, not bluetooth, why doesn't it upgrade the FW?
