Lately, my HRM-Tri has been on the fritz. When I’m doing an indoor or outdoor bike ride, my watch (Descent Mk1) will just show two dashes for my heart rate. I ca usually adjust the sensors, dry myself off a bit with my shirt and it will start working again, but I have to continue this process throughout my workouts. Additionally, after this happens the HRM-Tri won’t connect for my next workout. I’ve been taking the battery out, flipping it over and putting it back in to discharge it, and it will work fine until the next time I get on the bike. Garmin support advised to wear the strap backwards, but it didn’t help.
I do sweat and get pretty warm during bike workouts, but I figure a HR strap that can be used while swimming shouldn’t have issues with sweat. Any tips?
