Is it possible to connect more than one heart rate monitor?

Hi folks!

I have the Garmin Tri HRM but also have a MyZone HRM which is used by my gym for a range of activities and to accumulate points each month toward your status.

Previously I exclusively used my Garmin strap but over the last year or so I have been using the MyZone one. As a result, a bunch of the stats that I would usually get coming through to Garmin are no longer coming through, I guess because you only get them with the Garmin HRM.

Both straps auto-connect to my Fenix 5 as accessories so I was wondering if it is even possible to have both active at the same time, or would I need to disconnect the MyZone one from my Garmin watch if I wanted to get the data from the Garmin belt on the workouts while also having the MyZone belt active?

Unfortunately there's no Garmin/MyZone integration, so you have to wear that belt for the classes I do to have it register on the screens and to get the MEPS points each month for your workouts.

Thanks in advance!

  • It is not possible to have them both active at the same time and connected to your watch. Your watch will connect to one and ignore the other one.

You can wear both and have the Garmin connect to your watch and the MyZone one connect to the equipment. To ensure only the Garmin strap connects to your Garmin watch that you can either remove the MyZone strap completely from Sensors and Accessories or just turn it off in the settings for it.
