Change History

Changes made from version 7.10 to 7.40:

  • Fix for 'No HR Data' failure when downloading stored heart rate after a swim activity (or other activity where your watch is out of range).

Installation Instructions

  1. Connect your Garmin watch to your computer using the USB cable. Note: Some watches such as the Garmin Swim 2, the Forerunner 945 LTE, and other older watches do not support this update.
  2. Download and unzip HRM-Pro_740Beta.zip. Place the 6B330003.GCD file in the \GARMIN\RemoteSW folder of your device's internal storage drive.
  3. Put on the HRM-Pro.
  4. Disconnect your watch from the computer.
  5. Navigate to your sensor (Menu->Sensors & Accessories->HR - HRM-Pro:xxxxxx).
  6. If the status isn't already shown as 'Connected', select 'Connect'.
  7. Scroll down and select 'Software Update 7.40'.
  8. Approve the update on the watch and wait for the update to finish. Note: Ensure the watch and HRM-Pro are within range of one another throughout the update. The HRM-Pro will not go to sleep during the update, so you can remove it and place it next to the watch.
  • Go into your watch and find History, Settings, Activities, now choose the activity, then scroll through to find Download heart rate data

  • The data will be on the watch and not the strap

  • Already tried but it doesn't work

  • What about on your watch?  Have you reset your watch?  That's the only way your activities would disappear

  • Perhaps the strap never recorded the previous activities then.  Do you have any synchronised activities on a PC you could load onto your watch, just a thought

  • My watch still has the cardio activity that I have started, but the HR data start and stop as soon as my watch have lost the connection with my HRM Pro. If I try to Download heart rate data (wearing the strap) the watch say that there is no FC data available.

  • Ok try taking the battery out of the HRM for 15 minutes and then replace it back into the strap.  This should reset everything.  It's worth a try if not already done.

  • I have a bug but i think the bug was also in the last firmware its just never been fixed.

The HRM Pro is not syncing/counting steps during activity (cardio) when away from watch.

Using: HRM Pro (Version 7.40.0.0), Fenix 5 Plus (Version 15.20.0.0)

Using: Garmin Connect Android Pixel 2XL (Android 11), Garmin connect desktop (windows 10).

The Steps should be counted by the HRM Pro during an activity (Cardio) away from the watch then synced back to the watch when the activity is completed. Heart rate, intensity minutes are synced by steps are not.

Can anyone try and reproduce this bug by:.

Wear the HRM Pro check its connected to the watch. Start an activity (Cardio) leave watch and go do the activity. Come back to watch stop activity save activity. The heart rate and intensity minutes are saved/synced back to the watch but the steps are not.

  • Same here: HRM Pro + Fenix 6 Sapphire

    1. Wearing the HRM Pro and it is connected to the watch.

    2. Starting activity on the Fenix 6 and leaving it in my sports bag.

    3. Finishing the activity on the Fenix 6. Activity is saved and synced.

-> Activity does not include steps...just the heart rate!

Firmware issue? Any solution how to get the steps in the activity from the HRM Pro without wearing the fenix 6?

  • Activity does not include steps...just the heart rate! ... same issue here..  (fr 745)

it worked before upgrade .. downgrade possible' ?! :(
