Bouncing vest interference?

I’m wondering if bouncing items in my running vest can interfere with the readings on my garmin dual chest strap. I understand the static part. Thanks so much!

  • Well, if you vest is positioned so that it affects the fit of the HR strap, of course it might cause occasional connection problems between the electrodes of the strap and your skin.

  • Thanks for your reply, I’ve been able to avoid that mostly. My phone is bouncing against my chest so it’s tapping on the strap. No strap movement, it’s just being hit. I’ll try to test it myself
