Multiple HR sources

I have a forerunner 645 and a HRM dual chest strap paired with the watch.

Some questions regarding this:

- is it possible to see heart rate data from both sources after an activity? After my recent run it looked like the HR was way off (even using the chest strap which should be more accurate) so I would like to compare it with the wrist data

- is it possible to configure the watch to show if the chest strap is connected? It seems sometime that it is not connected, and it would be nice to know whether this is the case, and I need to go to settings on the watch to search for the (already paired) device

  • You can install the "Heart Rate: OHR v strap difference" data field or widget from Connect IQ store. That allows you to see and store data from both wrist HR and the strap simultaneously, and also see the difference. Make sure to read the instructions, since setting the field/widget up is not trivial.
