Garmin instinct with wrist heart rate monitor not working

Hi, how are you? I'm having trouble with my garmin instinct wrist heart rate monitor. It simple does not work, the green lights do not power on ever, no matter what I do with the watch (software reset, hard reset, heart rate monitor emitter on, during activity, using garmin connect app after deleting it of my phone, etc). It suddenly stopped working without any apparent shock or any recent software update. 

One little detail that I noticed recently is that when the sensor is enabled (set on "automatic") it consumes a lot of battery (consuming 100% in just two days or so) and can not pair with the garmin connect on my phone. After disabling the sensor, the battery is consumed normally (going on for 7 days or even more) and it can pair with the phone and transfer activity data with out problems.

Does anybody had an similar issue?

    So I found my way to this thread because I *thought* I was having the same issues. But I think I figured out what the issue is in my case. I use my Instinct with a chest strap HRM when I work out. I generally keep it in my gym back and just leave it in my car. Basically, what I think was happening is that it wasn't turning itself off and my watch was connecting to it when I was close enough to it. But I was having the same issue, the green lights on my Instinct wasn't turning on, and my HR would show as 0 instead of -- Once I figured out what was happening yesterday, I made sure to disconnect the HRM from the strap and it stopped.

    Side note why don't ANY chest strap HRM have an explicit ON/OFF switch on it...I really hate that. The Polar one I have doesn't even have indicator lights or audible beeps on it so I can't even tell if it's on or off.

    Same issue just happened to me, I've tried everything I could as nes listed above and nothing :( still dead

    I bought 3 mounth ago a instinct solar 2 tatical and I have the same problem of NES, I check all sensor dont work except the GPS. And this is the secon time it is happended, I have explained to the seller and he showed me the sistem software has had a bugs SNS:0.00 it means no software installes for the sensors. Fortunaty in the first event, it was loaded a actualization software that solved it. Now I am wainting again for a actualization to set the error. It is a pity such important firm doesn t comunicate any correction bug.
