HRM-RUN 2 is literally eating batteries

I am using it for maybe three years and one battery always lasted more than half a year. Now something has changed - it is connecting to my watch, wifes watch or my edge even when just lying on the table (what it is not supposed to do I guess) and despite is appears to be perfectly working (measuring HR and dynamics metrics ok), after just couple of hours the battery is completely dead (for example running from 3V to 0,9V). I tried like 4 new batteries from two brands and still the same.

There appears to be very high drain, as even when I would be using it 15 hours in the row, it normally won't completely replenish the battery. So its energy consumption is somehow very very high.

Any tips?
