Get power data to Garmin activity from LifeFitness cross trainer

I have a Forerunner 945 and I use the LifeFitness cross trainer at the gym all the time. I also use a HRM chest strap. It would be awesome to get the power transmitted from the cross trainer to my GRolling eyesmin watch and have it included in the activity. I'm surprised it's not done yet - it can even send it to an Apple watch... Rolling eyes or am I missing something here?

  • A possible work around that might work for you, I use a similar method to capture Power data from a Spin Bike at the gym.  Using Wahoo fitness app, it can accept multiple bluetooth or ANT+ connections.   So if you have a HRM-Dual it will connect with that easy, or broadcast from your FR945 to get the HR info, then add the power meter or computer info from the LifeFitness machine.  When done it is very easy to 'share' the activity via email as a .FIT file which can be imported to Garmin.  A bit of a pain, but worked well enough for me last winter/spring.

The cross trainer Power or computer info doesn't show up if you do something like add sensors to elliptical or indoor bike workouts?  or create a custom one?
