is foot pod completely redundant if i have a hrm-tri?

Put otherwise: Is there anything that foot pod can do but hrm-tri cannot?

I understand that if i dont care about hr data i might prefer the footpod because it s less "invasive" than hrm tri. But I dont care about invasiveness, I just wanna confirm that the metrics given by the foot pod are a subset of those given by the hrm-tri.

  • The main purpose of the footpod is to provide more accurate instant pace, especially in conditions where GPS struggles or when training indoors. The HRM-Tri does NOT provide pace.
