I reported a crack on my Fenix 5 HR sensor and the watch is still in warranty and they responded with this :

Thank you for the image of your proof of purchase, but a warranty replacement would not be indicated for this case. The appearance of "cracking" is present on all Garmin devices with wrist heart rate monitors. Being provided a device replacement would result in the same thing eventually being present on the replacement.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I DEMAND A REPLACEMENT!!

  • So they say that they are producing crap...

  • Garmin replaced countless FR945 for button issue (I think it is just user overreaction), and countless triathlon watches for barometer issue (a simple soapy wash solves the problem). And now they refuse to replace a REAL hardware problem.

    Congrats to Garmin! Disappointed

    Report them that you have sticky buttons. They will be happy to replace your broken watch!
