Running indoors

I have the FR935, and one thing I noticed last winter while running on the treadmill is that the watch only remained calibrated for about two weeks, and then started prompting me to run outdoors to calibrate for distance, etc.  The watch was actually super-accurate during that initial two weeks; my stride length and distance matched almost perfectly to my treadmill, and perceived effort/distance.  But after it started prompting me to re-calibrate, it was WAY off.  Living in Wisconsin, I don't always have an opportunity to get two good outdoor runs in every couple of weeks, so I'm wondering if the foot pods or Garmin running pod "hold" their calibration better?  Like, can I run indoors for 3 months and expect consistent results from the pod without having to re-calibrate it?
