Can you explain that ? I use the bike mostly for ERG training and (training peaks) would gladly skip that firmware
The updated firmware is showing power as much more jittery in erg mode, and it is consistently running a watt or two lower than before for the same workout (looking at 30s power averages to smooth it). I…
Have seen the same, as well as more short-term variability (using TrainerRoad). I'm OK with that, since it would be similar in resistance mode, as long as the "correction factor" to the target is consistent.

in ERG mode lower estimate of 2-2.5%. If you set 200W you make a 195/196 lap.
Then I stick with the previous firmware…have no complains so far. Right now , the workouts uploaded to training peaks are 1% lower…let’s keep it like that…
Yes, I recommend it. Waiting for someone from Garmin to answer us....
With 0.0.45 in TrainerRoad (Bluetooth connection to Android app), it was about 1% under, with very quick response to changes and minimal variation around the target; to hit workout target power, I just set the workout level in TrainerRoad to 101%.
With 0.0.46, it's about 5 seconds longer to get to the target (similar to 0.0.43), and there's much more fluctuation around the target (much closer to what you'd see in resistance mode, +/- 4-5 watts in the ranges I usually do), but nothing you can feel, and it seems like it's about 2% under. My workout today had two 20 minute intervals with a target of 208 W; set at 102%, the average for the intervals was 210, so not sure there's a huge difference.
Unless there's something else worthwhile in the new firmware, not worth the update, but from a functional perspective I'm not seeing a difference.
The more reponsive power updating - might be 10Hz mode that other trainers have been getting? Did a zwift ride this morning and power seemed much spikier on the graph at the bottom of the screen. Definitely some detail left to be desired in the release notes. Haven't done erg mode yet.
Could you give an update once you tried Zwift ERG mode?
used erg mode with zwift. -2 %...
Any more experiences? As I understand from Garmins release notes this firmware update should improve power accuracy as well as improve response … but looking at these posts accuracy is worse and response also ... ??
