Hello,
We have the problem, that the piece that fixes the pedal isnt stable anymore, even if we tighten it. It just takes some minutes after it's loose again.
Anyone experienced the same issue already or is aware of how to resolve it?

This is what Garmin told me. I loosened the 5mm bolt a little so that tightening the plastic on moved the crank arm into position before tightening the pinch bold again:

Hi to all - I tried everything: longer screw, a bold on metal, also with locktight, enough power - nothing helps. After a few rides, the left pedal begins to loose again. Now I found the solution: https…
Yes. Had problem on last tacx bike and had to return it for a replacement. Now have the same problem on the replacement bike too after just one month. Unless I’ve been very unlucky, this must be a common fault?
exact same problem as i am having..This is my replacement trainer and bike has lasted roughly six rides and left pedal is clunking and play can be felt through the crank arms..
Simlar to JasDW i thought i cannot be that unlucky and have the same issue with 2 trainers, but it would appear so. Will contact tredz where i purchased the trainer and see what they say.
Update:- Tredz were great about my problems with the trainer and accepted the second one back and fully refunded me..They were brilliant to be fair.
Nobody should be expected to take tools and tighten stuff on a trainer that cost almost 2.5k and appears very flawed. Its a shame as the trainer was great to ride in the limited time that it actually worked without fault.
Was also looking forward to the fenix 7's eventual release but think i will pass, I've just totally lost faith in Garmin products.
This is what Garmin told me. I loosened the 5mm bolt a little so that tightening the plastic on moved the crank arm into position before tightening the pinch bold again:
1. Tighten the crank bolt to 2-2.5N*m. This bolt uses an 8mm hex wrench, and the torque may not move the bolt. This is okay, as this step is to check that the bolt has not retracted since it was first installed.
2. Tighten the pinch bolt to 22N*m. This bolt uses a 5mm hex wrench.
So far it’s held it’s position but it’s only been a week.
Thanks for the detailed reply JasDW. I’ll re-install the crank arm tonight. I have contacted Garmin so they are aware of the problem. Shame as I’ve had the Neo and Neo T2 without any problems. They are all very well made products and really don’t want the hassle of packaging it up etc .
