Discontinue Use of the External Power Supply

Hello Garmin.

After the warning for the neo bike plus I am very excited to know, what further notice will be. And when.

Hope we will get an answer soon! And of course a new external power supply, too. Bike costs 3,5 grand. That's not funny.

Just my two cents

Discontinue Use of the External Power Supply

1. Disconnect the external power supply from the trainer and the wall outlet.
2. Do not use the external power supply until further notice.

  • Yes, the power supplies were shipped from our Tacx facility to local Garmin warehouses and we expect customer shipments to begin this week.  Thanks again for your patience!

  • That’s amazing news! Big thumbs up to Garmin.

  • Please post here model of power supply. I would like to buy it locally

  • Got the shippment information mail today at noon and the power supply is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. :)

  • I am absolutely disappointed by Garmin. I received my power supply today after nearly 5 months waiting. Nearly 5 months during that I could not use my Neo Bike Plus as expected. No official information from Garmin about the status of the problem, except in this forum. Just an order confirmation in October that said that I have to wait antoher 2 months or maybe longer.

No apology from Garmin and no compensation for the downtime for a products that costs 4000€.

I spent nearly 4000€ for the Neo Bike Plus because I thought I should rather buy a high-quality product. After 2 months I received the warning. I really regeret that I bought a Garmin bike and this definitely was my last Garmin product because this is not a high-quality product and it is just a bad experience how you deal with customer.

  • Vielleicht kommt ja noch ein Weihnachtsgeschenk

  • At least you are a lucky guy. You received your X-Mass present from Garmin. I'm still waiting and hoping Garmin Santa will not forget about me :D. There is no updated info from Garmin yet. I'm checking the spam bin every day :(

  • I'm with you, that the communication on this topic could have been better - a status update now and then via mail would have been nice. However I don't really agree that on the point, that you were unable to use the bike. You could use it just fine, except a fragment of the features.
High quality doesn't mean, that the chance to find an issue won't exist, but that it is handled with care and fixed ASAP. But the "soon as possible" is a rather delicate topic, when you think about the fact, that they had to analyse the issue, come up with a fix, produce the new power supplies and get fullfill all the different regulations in place all over the world. Keeping that in mind it seems to me that the fix has been achieved in a very reasonable amount of time.

Besides: In my package there was a code for a 90-day "free trial" of the Tacx Premium.

  • "However I don't really agree that on the point, that you were unable to use the bike."

You have to read my comment correctly. I wrote "Nearly 5 months during that I could not use my Neo Bike Plus as expected" -> "as expected". I did'nt  write that I was unable to use it.

"Besides: In my package there was a code for a 90-day "free trial" of the Tacx Premium."

Wow, a voucher woth of 35,97€ for their own service which costs Garmin nothing. It even isn't Premium-HD. That's just a ridiculous compensation for a product which costs 4000€ and for nearly 5 months limited usability. Many people including me, don't even use Tacx Premium.
