Update firmware for Zwift Cog compatibility

Please Garmin, update Neo2T firmware for Zwift Cog compatibility.

Thanks

  • A bit embarrassing that Wahoo, Jetblack, Van Rysel and now Elite have all added zwift cog and virtual shifting support....Tacx was so far ahead of the competition for so many years.  Is such a shame that Tacx are now falling behind, virtual shifting is just one area but a very visible one for buyers and owners

  • I’d love to see an update for the Tacx Neo 2T. I recently tested virtual shifting with the Zwift Cog on a Wahoo Kickr, and it was so smooth. It would be fantastic if Garmin could implement this feature soon—otherwise, I might have to consider switching trainers.

I’m aware of the workaround using the QZ app, but I really believe this should be a native feature, eliminating the need for third-party solutions.

  • Wait. What?  There's a way to do this?  What is QZ? Two months gone by in a right shoulder sling and looking at another month before I'll be able to shift with my right hand, so please share.

  • I think as a side project I will try to make a raspberry pi that acts as a bridge between my neo 2t and zwift.
Basically a pi with a small OLED screen on it to display the current gear and a couple physical buttons to go up and down gears.

QZ does this already but the downside is that it uses your phone (can't shift gears and use companion app at the same time), has a cluttered interface and physical buttons to shift will feel better.

  • Take a look at https://github.com/JuergenLeber/SHIFTR. No need for a display or extra buttons as it supports virtual shifting with Zwift like Wahoo and the others do. You can shift with the Click or the Play controllers and see the gear on screen.
