Neo 2T Edge 830 Cycling dynamics option greyed out

Hello,

I'm running the latest FW on my Edge 830 (5.50) as well as the latest FW on my new Neo 2T (0.34).

The trainer is paired to my 830 as a power meter and as a speed / cadence sensor - Not as an indoor trainer.

When trying to enable Cycling dynamics the unit displays "Loading sensor settings" and after a few seconds it remains greyed out.

See attached for reference

I've tried to completely remove the sensors from my edge unit and also did a few complete power cycles to both the Neo and the Edge but no luck.

I enabled the use Ant+ in the Tacx utility for the trainer as I saw one of the users here recommending that but again, still the same...

Any ideas ?

  • Hi,

It is not available and I think they never will be.

    A greeting

  • Hello,

Thank you for your reply but I beg the differnce.

The Neo 2T is proclaimed to give "Out of the box cycling dynamics" including the 3rd party apps as opposed to the regular Neo 2.

I Invite you to the site https://tacx.com/product/neo-2t-smart/ to see for your self.

    It's under "Pedal stroke analysis".

    Cheers !

  • Hi,

  • Hi,

I have also stumbled upon this article where it specifically say that this is supported natively and screenshots are provided as well.

I have reached out to my local distributor and he is inquiring about this with Tacx.

I will update in case I hear of any news.

    Cheers !

  • This is the official response from Tacx support :

"Apology. This is NOT implemented yet

The left right balance is implemented but the Cycle Dynamics (the peanut) is not

We do not have an ETA for this

We saw that there was a test on the website that this was implemented  but this will be removed."

    Very disappointed
