We have observed several instances of the Vivosmart5 tracker popping out of the band during activity, almost leading to losing the tracker. Has anyone else had this happen? I suspect that the design needs to be changed in a future update and I'm not sure if there is a fix. For anyone who has had to backtrack activity to find a lost tracker that is not connected (so Find My Device does not work) here are some tips for finding your lost tracker: Find the last time your device synched to the phone, and remember where that was.
Make a timeline of your activity since, and conduct a bluetooth survey of the area using several methods - walk around where you may have lost the device:
Use your paired phone to try to connect and synch while methodically walking thorugh the area you lost it, if you connect/synch, it is in the immediate area; search carefully.
Use a tablet, another phone, or small laptop to detect nearby bluetooth devices to try to find your device and once it is acquired then do a physical search to find it. Some devices are more sensitive or have better search/pair modes for finding devices so try a few.
this assumes that the tracker is still powered on and emitting bluetooth packets.
If you can find it and connect with the paired phone, use the Find My Device to help the search.
