I have been using this device successfully for a while with an iPhone 13. I noticed this morning that the phone was connected to the vivosmart via Bluetooth but the app did not show the connection and it was not syncing with Garmin.
I read support.garmin.com/.../ and have tried the following steps:
- factory reset the watch
- removed the watch from the phone's bluetooth connections
- attempted setup on a new iOS device where I downloaded Garmin Connect fresh
When I set up the watch on a new device, it makes it through Bluetooth pairing (and shows on the iOS device's Bluetooth settings menu) but after the prompt to "share notification access?", setup does not complete successfully (it prompts me "setup failed") and the device will not connect to Garmin Connect.
It seems to be something persistently wrong with the Garmin device, not the iOS device? What do you suggest?
