Vivosmart 5 uses HRV to calculate Stess Level?

Garmin's owner manual for the Vivosmart 5 says that is uses HRV to calculate Stess Level. If it is measuring HRV, why can't it display it?  https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-8674F17E-62B2-48DE-927A-251611664658/EN-US/GUID-9282196F-D969-404D-B678-F48A13D8D0CB.html

  • Sorry, I do not have vivosmart 5 to confirm, but from what I found, this might be the reason.

The vivosmart 5 is not compatible with giving HRV details. See HRV Status on Compatible Garmin Watches.
  • It should not come as a surprise that the HRV is not displayed on this watch. It is typical of Garmin to "disable" the viewing of some things on less expensive watches and only display them on more expensive ones. It's all about selling hardware.

  • Stress score, bodybattery... HVR is used used for the calculations, but like you said as user you don't get the details.
This is a shame, but like 4411990 said not unussual for Garmin products.
We can only hope that the vs6 will give the details, if there ever comes a vs6

I use the vs5 in combination with a fr955 and I get cripled data in regards to HVR. I get a 7d avg, but no nigthly details and even than the data sometimes are there and sometimes not.

My hopes are for a vs6 where we get full acces to the (raw) HVR data but I won't hold my breath.
