When I wake I hit the sun icon and then the tick just like I have for a long time. Since 2.93 though it will pop up again within the next hour or so and go through the morning routine again.

As Adam mentioned, the software version 3.02 was released to resolve this report. Please update your watch at your earliest convenience. If you experience an issue with the Morning Report after installing…
It looks like this has been fixed now in the 3.02 update. But I had to do a factory reset of my VS5 to be able to get the morning report to show at all after the update.
Disappointing not to see this bug listed in the 2.94 release
